16 Stretch Goals unlocked
These numbers speak for themselves, which is good, because we are speechless! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for choosing to support this campaign.
🗝 Unlocked Stretch Goals
Thanks to your support we have unlocked custom shaped and silk screened Tribe Markers, as well as unique art for each player board and starting deck. These upgrades will go a long way towards giving each tribe a unique aesthetic (especially when combined with the resin Idol trackers). Upgrades like spot UV treatment on the cover and linen finish on the terrain tiles were also unlocked, which will help to give the game a premium feel.
We (you) also unlocked the Glacier Tokens module, which was designed by Drake Villareal. Here's a little more about it:
“Warm days reveal the bounty hidden just beneath the snow. The melting ice gives way to grass and flowers. Soon after come the herds of animals, and the nomads that follow them.”
The Glacier Tokens module creates an incentive to explore and settle on the otherwise inhospitable glacier terrain tiles. When the game starts, one token is placed face-down onto each glacier tile. Moving a camp into the space with a token reveals it permanently. Building a village adjacent to a glacier token immediately grants you the depicted bonus, such as filling your food reserves, or gaining new cards.
❄ Upcoming Stretch Goals
The next three stretch goals will each go towards improving a different expansion, a new set of Animals (the Giant Beaver) for the Ancestors expansion, eraser-caps for the Cave Paintings expansion, and screen printed rafts for the Rivers and Rafts expansion!
🎲 TabletopSimulatorMod
For those who are interested, the scripted version of the game is live on Tabletop Simulator!
We would like to confirm that, due to popular demand, we are looking into the viability of a storage solution, stay tuned for further details!

❄Stretch Goals
As you’ve seen, we’ve been breezing through Stretch Goals like wild. But don’t worry! We still have a full lineup waiting in the wings. Right now we’re close to adding the Glacier Tokens module and unique art to each player board. (By the time you read this they might even be unlocked!) After that, we’ll be adding silk screen printing to each of the animal shaped tribe markers. Be sure to check back and see what we add upriver from there!
Next Stretch Goals
❄Box Storage
We’ve had quite a few comments asking about a storage solution (such as a “big box”) that could hold the base game and the three large expansions. While preparing the campaign, we decided to have each one packaged separately since they really are distinct expansions—not just small, interchangeable modules. We wanted each expansion to have a beautiful box cover and way to store the components apart from the core game. That said, your shelf space was something we have considered all along! The three boxes (Ancestors, Rivers & Rafts, and Cave Paintings) can be placed together so they fit the same total surface dimensions as the core game’s face. Therefore, they can be stored on a shelf in one slim space. But we won’t stop there; we’ll continue to look into other storage solutions over the next days and see if we can offer you something even better. We have some ideas, so stay tuned!
❄Speaking of Expansions...
Endless Winter is a big game, naturally—especially with all the expansions we have created for it. Yet, you might be wondering what they actually add as far as gameplay experience. So we’ll fill you in, and start by giving you a closer look at the two module expansions, designed by Drake Villareal (who also designed the solo mode).
Canine Familiars
“We have learned to live alongside the wolves. In exchange for food and warmth, they provide us a great many services: protection, navigation, hunting, and—perhaps most importantly—companionship.”
When taking the Eclipse action (by placing a figure on your player board), you can choose to take a Canine Familiar card into your hand instead of drawing a card from your deck. Later, when you play a Canine at a given Action Column, it gives you 1 Labor and 1 Tool. Alternatively, if you play a Canine in your Eclipse pile, it gives give you ½ Labor and 1 immediate point.
Ceremonial Grounds
“We believe there are spirits all around us—and their desires are as diverse as the tribes they share the land with. Our shamans help us live in harmony with these spirits, and guide us in our veneration of them.”
At the end of each Eclipse phase, players have the opportunity to take a Ceremonial Grounds card from those available in a supply, and immediately score it. These cards offer immediate points for certain achievements. You can gain a lot of points by meeting the criteria, but the catch is twofold: you can only score one of these cards per game—and you can no longer bury any cards thereafter! In order to signify this, the card is placed landscape orientation on top of your buried cards pile. Timing is key for playing these well: Too soon, you might not score very many points; too late, the card you most want might get taken and scored by an opponent…
We will give you a similar look at the content from Ancestors, Rivers & Rafts, and Cave Paintings as the campaign goes on. We're very excited to show you what they offer. 👀
❄FAQ,Comments, BGG Forums
We will be adding a few updates to the FAQ as we read through and consider your comments. (Yes, the insert will be able to hold sleeved cards as well as unsleeved cards. yay!). We truly want to meet your gaming needs as best we can—so your feedback is always welcome. We can also discuss ideas and answer questions on the Endless Winter BGG Forums if you prefer that format. Visit us here.
We give you an ❄Endless Thank You❄ for your support. It means the world to us.
